The real issue is not necessarily the RAM weather its used or re-engineered,
but who you purchase it from.  Make sure it's a reputable source,

Sun's memory is very over priced, so looking at third party ie Kingston,
DataRam, etc,etc or used Sun is a solution.

There's a reson why these companies give lifetime warranties. The stuff
doesn't break.
