not a bad way to implement restores though.  it gets you straight back
to -your-system-, without any fiddle-faddle [tech jargon].

i'd thought of setting a diskless boot env up for these emergencies.
solaris [and hpux 10 btw] can run with swap only in ram, if you aren't
doing much - and the only point would be to restore onto a fresh disk
from the backup server, after which you'd reboot locally.  and since
you don't need to nfs-mount swap, diskless host load is pretty light,
meaning 1 host could support dozens or hundreds of clients [not
booting all at once!].
