Not options - the union "dues" were part of the compensation package. I
think most that paid them that were in similar situations just viewed
it as money down a rat hole...

Payroll deductions don't allow for "near" payments ;^) Also, even one
dime towards a union that does nothing for him is money down a rat
hole.

Union == Suits? I thought Unions looked out for the little guy, and
Suits (by our agreed definition) take advantage of the little guy...
