Think "Steelcase".  That's Fondren. :)

Yeah, the ground floor reception and reading areas are carpet with comfy
chairs and swank lighting, but the stacks are tile floors with steel
shelves, and steelcase chairs and desks along the walls.  If you're a
bookworm at all, it's Heaven.  That and they kept -old- stuff.  Nothing
like reading processor design docs and conference lectures from the
1970s to give you some perspective.

Damn straight.  You have to be able to hear yourself think and
concentrate.  I don't go to libraries to be entertained (at least, not
in the happy-fuzzy sense).  I go there to do brain push-ups.
