REALLY old PC machines didn't have a user interface for setting up the BIOS
and did require booting from a setup floppy. PS/2 machines also, IIRC.
Seems to me that PS/2 machine took it a step farther and recorded setup
info and maybe some drivers onto the disk, making it a real PITA to
configure them -- especially if you lost the floppy.

I think I tossed all mine, but I'll see if I can find any. If so, I'll see
what I can do about duplication. Keep in mind, however, that it may require
a 5 1/4" floppy drive. :)

It also seems to me that certain 3rd-party programs gave you some options
in that respect. SpeedStor? Might have only altered the drive tables,
however. Maybe some old versions of Checkit?
