I had Logicon come in and replace the CPUs. Well, the guy who replaced me
did.

Replacing the board and/or cpu under service contract. Sorry, I know that
won't work for you. But for the sake of completeness, that was our
"solution"...

I doubt it. I had this issue on IDE-only systems. Also got a nearly
identical error on an E450, disabled the CPU with psradm and it was
fine... we got the CPU replaced under hw warranty on that. Of course,
disabling the cpu on a single-cpu box won't work (don't think psradm will
let you do it even).
