[SunRescue] Anyone else here hate Perl?

I saw Larry Wall speak in Cincinnati several weeks ago and likes to think of
perl as a real living language. At least that is my interpretation. He likes
that there is more than one way to do it. He has spent much time studying
linguistics and Japanese in particular.

Theoretically his idea of dialects is an interesting one. There are many
ways to say things in English, each with their own nuance; however, the
parser and interpreter do not learn, or make inferences of meaning like a
human does. Nor do they have a sense of humor. (-:
