Bill,

That is THE most important metric, and it trumps any other concern  
people might raise. Having said that, let me raise some concerns ;^)

A) a 6.5" subwoofer? To me that strains the definition of subwoofer,  
maybe even woofer - it reminds me more of the all-purpose drivers Bose  
pot in his 901-style speakers.

B) the volume of the box is very small -it looks to be about 12-14"  
square, and what, 8" deep. That may be close to the right size, you  
should run the numbers...

C) I think your enclosure needs to be "ported" the sealed cube will  
restrict the free flowing movement of the woofer. As the cone travels  
out it needs to draw in air, and push air out when the cone moves in.  
A sealed box will force the cone to 'expand' or 'compress' the volume  
of air inside the cabinet.

I believe ports can also be used to alter the effective volume of a  
given speaker cabinet, so you may find that if you punch in your  
driver's numbers and your cabinet's volume, you may be able to arrive  
at the proper size port to maximize performance of your existing  
components (driver and cabinet).

As I said before, that you like it is what is most important, the  
above are just my thoughts/reactions, worth slightly less than you  
paid for them. ;^)
