Congrats on your project, Bill, and good thoughts Lionel.  Though I've been
buying my speakers on closeout over the years (Wharfedale for my home theater,
Edirol monitors with an Energy sub for my PC, Boston Acoustics for my Mac), I
hope to one day build my own speakers, and one of the places on the net that
sells a lot of speaker parts (drivers, enclosures, amplifiers etc.), and also
complete speaker kits, is Parts Express, which also has some decent DIY guides
as well:
