I've never looked at what they, do when I did create them with iTunes, 
the MP3's had no tags, just library data.

I don't "share" mine, so I have no idea of what happens to them. 

BTW, did you know that the Itunes store adds a hidden tag identifing the
purchaser. If you were to share a file purchased from them, they can 
pinpoint it to you.

It's just very slow, IMHO.
