It's very hit-or-miss. Usually they have a small amount of equipment (the odd Dell P3 & P4 systems, odd electronics from closet clean-ups, and occasionally some older server hardware.

I've gotten a few Smart-Ups 1400XLs (non-rackmount) for $5 with dead batteries. One set of new batteries later, and I've got a great UPS (a few had network monitoring cards, worth $$$) for about $140.

Problem is, my eyes were always bigger than my available time, so I have lots of "treasures" that need to find new homes...
