I don't have a problem with that ...however they should then make 
certain that it is known that they link
the pkgtools to a library that is not in the standard location or link 
to the  .so without specifying a revision
number so that when people remove the lib because they followed a CERT 
report and upgraded & then removed
a lib that is not really part of the core O.S. because it is not in /lib 
or /usr/lib witch are known to be the location of 
the core O.S. Libs who should not be touched...don't break the system.
So I think the developers should make sure that it is known that the 
openssl lib  is  used  for the pkgtools...
If poeple know about the issue they can take steps to prevent it 
happening.....
