Also set the path variable in the prom.  But it sounds like you have 
some issues w/ scsi bus.  Your drive is jumpered to ID1 not ID0 
right?  ID0 is typically the  scsi host controller on SGIs.  Found 
this out the hardway on a few crimsons that people tried to setup 
themselves.
