[SunHELP] HOWTO compress and save large SunPCI-diskimage

Just to better understand: you are compressing the image file, which is 
just 1 (huge) file. So why don't you use gzip or bzip or other gnu 
utilities directly on that file?

Anyway I know that this one is completely unrelated, but I had problems 
in the past with the tar utility under windows: I compressed huge 
archives under solaris7 (I guess with tar but maybe it was zip!) and 
uncompressing them under windows with winzip gave me a lot of problems 
(just few files exctracted). Maybe there is a limit in the file size, 
but this is MY assumption, and I feel it like a silly one....

Can you try to use other compression utilities and let us know?
