[SunHELP] ld.so.1 error

Fri Oct 25 15:16:20 CDT 2002

Sizheng,

You should be able to get this file off another system or the cdrom. On
Solaris 8 that files belongs in three places:

/usr/lib/sparcv9/libpam.so
/usr/lib/sparcv9/libpam.so.1
/usr/lib/libpam.so
/usr/lib/libpam.so.1
/usr/dt/lib/libpam.so
/usr/dt/lib/libpam.so.1

Just drop it in /usr/lib and you should be fine.

regards,

--Buddy

But what should I do now to deal with it ? I can't kill any process since I
fail to log into the machine.

Thanx very much.
