[SunHELP] Solaris 9 Perl

Am I crazy or does the Perl 5.6.1 that comes with
Solaris 9 only understand/compile 64 bit?

I've got Sol9 installed on a SS20, and trying to do a
simple mod_perl and apache configure/make blows up big
time.

There's a note on Sunfreeware about Solaris 8 & Perl,
so I guess I'll go grab the stable perl and compile it
with gcc and see what happens on this platform...

Any other suggestions...(yes I RTFM <gin>)...
