It sounds pretty obvious that you're trying to boot off of the wrong disk. Try booting
off
of the Seagate hard-drive.
Also, what was your reasoning for performing the "set-defaults" command? By doing
that you just eliminated any customization of the OBP environment that was
previously done.

From what it sounds like you're doing, this sounds
normal.

Sounds like your cd is corrupted.
