	In the format menu do an analyz -> read. This may find the defective
block
	and then you can repair it, as well as any other blocks that may be
	defective.

	gold:/#sys-unconfig
	Warning - this will unconfig - blah blah - continue - yes
	sys-unconfig: failue :cannot open logfile
	gold:/#

		Seems like there should be some way to get to this disk.

		When I go to the format menu - repair
		Enter absolute block number of defect:
		Should this be the 3435552 that I get from the error on
startup?
		Requested block = 3435552?

		Thanks

		stop-a
		boot -s

		Once logged on in single user mode do a `sys-unconfig`, this
will
		unconfigure the current system network settings (i.e IP
address,
	name
		resolution, etc.). When you reboot it will prompt you to
enter this
		information.

		Hi,

		I have a machine running NIS (so i just found out!!)
		and I changed its IP address over to our new range of IPs.
		I did this for a variety of machine running solaris 2.6
		and then went on to do the final machine, this one running
		SUNOS 4.1.3. I hadn't realized it was running NIS as
		it is not my machine (and there is no need for NIS here
anyway).
		When I rebooted after changing the Ip the machine hung at:

		Services: ypbind
		RPC keyserver
		NIS: server not responding for domain "phys.unsw.edu.au";
Still
	trying
		NIS: server not responding for domain "phys.unsw.edu.au";
Still
	trying
		NIS: server not responding for domain "phys.unsw.edu.au";
Still
	trying

		etc

		How can I get the mchine to boot so I can try and debug what
is
	wrong?
		(by looking at files)

		Many thanks,

		Melinda
