Dear Murali,
If U don't mind my suggestions
1. Don't use 8.0.5 Version, Directly go for 8.1.6 (It Is available now).
2. Use Raid- 0+1 (Striping and Mirroring)
3. Distribute as many as files across the different partitions.
4. Different log files across the partitions.
5. Different control files across the partitions.
6. Indexes on separate partition.
7. If possible split the temp table space's into 2 files and keep across the
partitions.
