well, too make things worse, it seems as if the hard drive sent to me by
tadpole is hosed. it has a large number of read and write errors which at
this moment i can't even load solaris at all.

but the error message as foar as i can remember without trying to re-run the
program (since i can't get into solaris anymore) was the last line with
error number = 2 and beofer that a string of numbers in a paranthesis...

as far as the hard drive, i've formatted it twice and done the full
analysis... besides calling tadpole again, do you guys have any
suggestions..

thanks for the lead on solaris 6/7.. i'll call sun and see if they still
have that offer going, maybe i will have better luck with solaris 6, since
that's the only one that tadpole has released the utilities for.
