Hmm, I use OSX (not as a daily driver, but for some of my video editing
work), and I never got the faintest impression that it was OSX-ish. From a
usability standpoint, in Unity desk top, I could never find anything...I
found myself at the CL more than I thought I would.  Given that, I went
back to Slack for a bit.
Efficient? - granted I was running on a platform that was lacking (at the
time) reasonable HW resources, but I found when I upgraded to it, the
system did more thrashing.....been a while so I am a little unclear as to
what exactly it did.  Suffice to say, was not my favorite.
