It's an Intel - Core 2 Duo 2.16 Ghz
If it were a G5 iMac, I wouldn't even bother. I've spent enough hours of
my life on those things.

  G5 or Intel?

The G5s have a known problem with the capacitors on the logic board.
  I
have one that died from this, after 2 claimed "repairs" by
  Apple-authorised service centres.

The symptoms are random power-downs, which grow more frequent until
  it
  won't turn on.

I have a pack of replacement caps (about #12 on eBay) but I
  personally
lack the skills and another listmember who tried to do it for me
  found
his soldering iron couldn't shift them.
