Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that the entire DOCUMENT need be
a single page.  Rather, I am annoyed with folks who build
sites as if they were "outlines" and each level of the outline
gets a separate page -- "cuz it's so NEAT".

E.g.,

I. Introduction
    A.  Terminology
        1.  This
        2.  That
        3.  TheOtherThing
    B.  Intended Audience
        1.  You
        2.  Me
        3.  TheGuyNextDoor
II. Real Stuff
    A...

So, you start at this level, click on Terminology, get a
page consisting of three links.  Click on "This" and
read one paragraph before you have to click on "Up/Back"
and click on "That"... etc.  Then back out of Terminology
to click on "Intended Audience", etc.

Smarter tools let you move sequentially though a text.
But, some document preparers seem to want to impose this
hierarchy on the document which may be fine if you are drilling
down to a particular subject of interest (i.e. "reference
style") but ridiculous for use as a regular "linear" text.
