I beg to differ.
It could be someone enamored with the idea of their browser staying
below 150MB of memory usage.
Single large pages eat *HUGE* amounts of browser memory, because most
browser caches are so damned stupid.
If linked pages are done properly and your server is not overloaded,
they should be fast and easier than a single large page.
Using an editor... different story, as you can find those which handle
large files well. Browsers, no... they suck at handling large pages
most of the time.
