I use my registered copy of ZOC for OS/2 and windows. Plus it
does ssh (and zmodem over ssh) and will connect to a named pipe
virtual serial console for a vmware instance.

I've had some problems with Hyperterm. When I got my first GPS
(a few years back, and it was a black box with a serial port, no
display or anything) I took it to a friend's house to try it out.
I could only get garbage from it (it used TAIP, no NMEA) and thought
it was a bad unit. Nope, it just turned out hyperterm was a POS.
