FWIW, my IBM Model M "SpaceSaver" works just like it ought to, but the
other keyboards in the house (including other IBM Model Ms) don't play
well with the 250.

I suspect that so long as the system thinks your console is lft0, AIX is
ready to use the PS/2 keyboard as the source of input for the console.
