I've had similar problems with my 712/60 running OpenBSD/hppa, starting
a while back, and still at least with released 3.4 binaries. Under heavy
disk load, I'd get SCSI errors and the machine would lock up, both from
the network and at the console :( I haven't tried recent snapshots, but
at the time of 3.3, my C110 couldn't even start up the installation. So, even though hppa is now part of OpenBSD releases, I get the impression
that it's still relatively immature - but it's getting better.
