I don't use floppies much.  I've used them twice this week already though
(usually I go much longer without).  Yesterday I installed a program
called Speed Ferret that came of 3 floppies.  On Monday, I made a new boot
disk for my file server.  For some reason the server doesn't get along
with lilo.  So, I just leave the boot disk in all the time.  It's not like
I ever use the floppy for anything else.

In my main workstation, trying to use the floppy is a sure way to cause
the machine to hard lock.
