[SunRescue] Axil Ultima 1 and 300mhz CPU upgrade

Well, Mike's suggestion was helpful. However, here's what I found...

On the Tatung web site there is a really nice diagram of their
motherboards, and explanations of their jumper settings.

At first I was disappointed, because the layout of the Tatung motherboards
is somewhat different than that of my Axil.

However, I noticed they have the same jumper nomenclature. Hmmm...

Tatung says that the jumper in question is J2302.

They say that if the motherboard label is "429", then J2302 should be set
to pins 2 & 3, no matter if the CPU speed is 170, 200, or 300 mhz. That's
easy.

On the other hand, if the motherboard label is "439", then J2302 should be
set to pins 1 & 2 for 300mhz and pins 2 & 3 for 170 or 200.

Unfortunately, I can't see a motherboard label like that anywhere on mine.

Ony my Axil, J2302 is set at pins 1 & 2, and I have a 170mhz processors
installed. AAARGH.... According to any of the Tatung possibilities, that
shouldn't be correct.

Anything for an Axil manual!!!

Anybody have any advice? If I set the jumpers wrong, will I fry anything?
Can I just mess around until it works?

Thanks for any advice...
