IN Sweden the connection is in the panel.

Yes different loading and especially non-resistive such will play
havoc with your eq if you have a non-existent neutral connnection.

It can easily create voltage drops around 400V over
something which is done for err 220 V - the magic
smoke will show up !!!

But things could be working very well and well you start to turn of
of things and suddenly you have magic smoke. ....
