It should be noted that ATMs and POS devices that are running Windows XP are
almost certainly running XP embedded, which has a much longer support
lifecycle than standard Windows XP.  Yes, this is an issue that needs to be
addressed, but its not as urgent as XP desktops are right now.  You can
apparently still purchase Windows NT 4.0 embedded!
