" The easy way, in many cases, is to run the wire up a pipe chase, or just
" beside a pipe, from the basement to the attic, then drop it down from there.
" Really, you drop it from the attic _down_ the pipe chase; gravity is your
" friend.

a great idea... alas, all my pipes are in the corner away from the
rooms i want to wire.

but maybe...

" Burglar alarm companies are geniuses at this sort of thing, and they have
" long, flexible drills that are Just Right for putting in wire without
" disrupting the sheetrock.

that's a thought! but i'm not sure my budget can stand the dent of
hiring someone. ;^<

a really long drill and a borescope could work wonders though.

" Or go wireless ....

ick. -something-else- to buy and manage, and while i don't imagine my
neighborhood is full of crackers it is tight and the signal would
probably reach the houses across the street. and you can't wardrive a
wire.
