I must admit I hadn't noticed that ... because I can't make mine
misbehave like that. Mine was purchased in Dec 2003 so perhaps it's
newer than the ones you've seen ? Or perhaps UK sourced ones come from a
difference source without that defect.

A 133MHz one. Did they make 386's that fast when they were used in PCs?
Nice little box even if I am replacing it with an OpenBSD firewall when
I can get around to it.
