As little as possible. As I generally drive to the train station when I 
go to the office, I leave my keys in the car and just take:

car security fob (without which it won't start)
wallet (the thinnest possible card carrier I could find)
cash (not in wallet)
Motorola P280 cell phone

That's it. I also carry a backpack when I go to work, with all sorts of 
other stuff in it.
