US Marines focus on marksmanship quite a bit.

The US military has changed a lot since Vietnam, where firepower was the
rule of the day.

Most rounds fired by *all* armies are mainly to keep the other guy's
head down.

This is especially true in major theater wars.

Smaller actions are more "personal".

It is worth noting that what people call an AK varies a great deal.

Some are absolute crap, maybe most of them, even though they tend to
work in bad conditions, but some are actually not bad at all.
