One of two things is happening here. Either you're not reading my posts,
or you don't know engines very well. Either seems equally plausible.

I said:

Note on the side of your average Dodge Cummins truck it says "Dodge
Cummins Turbo Diesel." A turbocharger is a form of forced induction. I
actually wrote the turbochargers FAQ if you'd like me to explain how it
works.

I am not debating that software can increase the power of forced
induction vehicles.

No, it does not. A turbocharger (or supercharger) also does not increase
the compression ratio of an engine. These are common myths among car
buffs.

I'm pretty certain that I am 100% right here, and on all counts in this
thread (except forgetting the sway bars).

I replaced my 3.545 differential with a 3.7 diff out of a 300ZX Turbo. I
replaced my tires with 225/60ZR15 tires, up from the 205/50 stock tires
on the car. This netted me an 18% speedometer error. Both of these we
have discussed on the list as possible modifications for your "super
police interceptor" thingies.

I'm a lot closer to believing that a police crown vic can do 145 than
160.

That's also not so hard to believe.
