Well, for the 5x7 size in which we get most of our prints, 4 megapixels
(and even 2.1 megapixels) are probably enough.

Oh, absolutely, I agree.  My father has a nice film camera for that
purpose as well.  (He has a BSc in technical photography, if that means
anything.)
