Yeah, the prints can be nice, as long as you don't go any bigger then about
8x10. A color 35mm slide has about 20 megapixels of information, while most
digital cameras only have 10-20 percent percent of that.

Of course, the quality of cheap point and shoot lenses won't stand much
enlargement either, especially the zooms. Even the prime lenses are just
triplets.
