We just replaced a toilet. Being a good engineer I studied the designs
carefully. The original 3 gallon toilets work nicely, but are no longer
available. The new 1.5 gallon toilets don't work well because they don't
have much stored energy. We looked at a toilet that had an electric pump to
increase the flush power. I cringed at the thought of sitting on something
wet and electrified. We bought an American Standard toilet that has a small
plastic tank inside the back. The water in the tank is stored at street
pressure with a pocket of air above the water. This thing has TURBO FLUSH
and does not clog.
