[SunHELP] Disabling serial console on no keyboard/video?

Login through console and uncomment the line "#KEYBOARD_ABORT=disable" in
the file /etc/default/kbd.
Reboot the system and after it comes up again, you can disconnect the
keyboard.

Anyone know a way to disable this behavior?  I have a couple systems
with modems on the lone serial port, and if I disconnect the keyboard,
the modem ceases to work.  I figure it can be done in OpenBoot
somehow?
