[SunHELP] Bind 9.2.3

Hi Eric ,

Lara mentions that its able to lookup FQDN but not by host name alone... so
BIND must be running.

Seems that the DNS server is down... have you checked if named is running?
have you checked some errors msg from DNS server in
/var/log/messages or /var/adm/syslog ?
