[SunHELP] Peoplesoft Problem with Solaris 7 / 8 and Tuxedo 6.5

Fri Mar 22 11:07:45 CST 2002

I am trying to run PeopleTools 8.16 / Peoplesoft Financials 8 SP2 using the
Internet Architecture with Oracle 8.1.7 database running on Solaris and
Tuxedo running on Solaris 7/8.
We have tested the configuration with both Solaris 7 and 8.
The problem is that the browser is showing some strange characters on the
top of the screen and giving an "Invalid Decimal" error on the page when it
tries to display some pages.
I also get these strange looking characters on the screen when I use the
windows desktop App Designer in 3 Tier mode (going through Tuxedo on Solaris
7/8)
However when logging on with the App Designer using 2 Tier mode straight to
Oracle everything is fine.
Does anybody have the same configuration 3 Tier (Solaris 7 or 8, Tuxedo
6.5/Jolt 1.2, Oracle 8.1.7.3.0) and has gotten it to work ?
Has anybody run into this problem or knows of a problem with the
configuration?
