[SunHELP] Boot problems on Ultra1

I am trying to boot from the cdrom, but the systems
hang on :

  Rebooting with command: boot cdrom
  Boot device:  
/sbus/espdma at e,8400000/esp at e,8800000/sd at 6,0:f File and
 args: -v


The tape light indicator goes on for a while and then
shuts off and does nothing after that.  After waiting
30 or so minutes it displays:

  Can't open boot device

The same happens with the tape drive.

The box has a tape drive attached (scsi id 4), then
the cdrom (scsi id 6) and then a disk drive (scsi id
0) with a terminator.

If I ask for the scsi drives by typing at the boot
prompt:

  probe-scsi

it gives me the list stated above.

What might be occurring here?  Any help will be
greatly appreciated.
