It is the device, not the tape. Check the cabling all the way on the chain
where tape drive is, make sure chain is terminated properly.

Subject: [SunHELP] Hardware or Tape

I have been trying to restore a disk on an Ultra 60 from a 0 level dump. My
problem is that I get an error and I am not sure if the tape is bad or if my
tape drive is bad. I get the following error:

Warning: /pci at 1f,4000/scsi at 3 (glm0):
SCSI bus DATA IN phase parity error
Warning:/pci at 1f,4000/scsi at 3 (glm0):
Target 4 reverting to async. mode
Warning:/pci at 1f,4000/scsi at 3/st at 4,0 (st4):
	SCSI transport failed:reason 'tran_err':giving up

Read error while restoring ./filename
continue[yn]
(if y is selected)
Read error while trying to resynchronize
continue[yn]
(if n is selected here)

Warning:/pci at 1f,4000/scsi at 3/st at 4,0 (st4):
Error for command : space Error level:fatal
Requested Block:(different every time) Error block:(different
every time)
	Vendor:Exabyte
	Sense key:unit attention
ASC:0x29 (power on, reset, or bus reset occurred, ASCQ:0x0, FRU:0x0

Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated

Charles
