I do not quite understand your message.
Where, exactly, are the indexes missing?  From the backup server itself?
IIRC the location is under the clientname within that directory.
If they are in fact gone, I believe the only way you can recover data from
a tape is to do a tape scan which takes quite a while, but does work

Using solstice networker, is there a way to recover client indexes (usually
stored in /index/nsr/ on the backup server), if they are not on the backup
server (all backups are done using a tape jukebox---the needed backup files
are on the tape but the index is missing to recover from tape?

Somebody PLEASE help!
