Kylie,

check for the /etc/timezone file on your system.
If you do not have one, you can possibly create one to
ensure you are using the correct timezone.
chack the manpage for timezone

What and How is the best way to find out what timezone
the solaris box 
is
set up in and make sure that it has the correct times
for the zone?
