I've managed to do this before but I'm buggered if I can remember the exact
sequence. I need to restore a machine from a ufsdump taken of the offlined
half of a Disksuite mirror and then bring it up without mirrors.

After restoring but before rebooting, I need to edit /etc/vfstab to reflect
the changes, i.e. mounting / as /dev/dsk/c0t1d0s0 rather than /dev/md/dsk/d0
etc. Then edit /etc/system and comment out the three set md lines and
possbily the rootdev yes?

rootdev:/pseudo/md at 0:0,0,blk
* End MDD root info (do not edit)
* Begin MDD database info (do not edit)
* set md:mddb_bootlist1="sd:3:16 sd:3:1050 sd:3:2084 sd:3:3118 sd:3:4152"
* set md:mddb_bootlist2="sd:3:5186 sd:11:16 sd:11:1050 sd:11:2084
sd:11:3118"
* set md:mddb_bootlist3="sd:11:4152 sd:11:5186"
* End MDD database info (do not edit)

Then after rebooting off the disk I've restored to the machine gets as far
as configuring some network interfaces and hangs. What am I missing? Am I
supposed to throw in an installboot somewhere along the way? What sequnce do
I need to get a once meta-ed machine into a meta-free state?

Cheers,

Will. (Gone off in search of a Disksuite FAQ)
