Hotpatches are a different feature than LiveUpgrade.  HotPatches are kernel
patches that patch the running kernel instead of patching the kernel
filesystem objects (which requires a reboot), LiveUpgrade actually upgrades
the OS in an alternate Boot Environment (BE) so you can reboot into the new
version of Solaris the next time you reboot (and return to the former BE if
the new one fails in some way).
