/usr/bin/dmesg
/usr/sbin/prtconf
more /etc/path_to_inst (file of course)
Whit this you should have a good idea of the hw on the machine.
For the software I think that a script including the pkginfo + uname -a(to
see the version of patches) could make the job.
Please let me know if you find a graphical tool.
