Apart from what Almazen says,I think if i am not mistaken we need to modify
registry setting on the NT machine.

That is assuming, you have setup tcpip print services enabled alongwith an
LPR port,

start regedit.
move to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LPDSVC\Parameters.
>From Edit menu select new - DWORD value
Enter a name of SimulatePassThrough and press enter.
Double click the new value and set it to 1, click OK.
Close the registry editor.

Hope this helps.
Bye

well this is how I add the printer.
Printer server : NT server
Printer Name: testlp-q
Printer IP Address: 192.9.200.1

Edit /etc/hosts and add the printer's ip address:

192.9.200.1	testlp

# lpsystem -t bsd testlp
# lpadmin -p testlp-q -s testlp!lp
to check:
# lpq -P testlp
no entries

and it works,

Hector
